Welcome to the North Carolina Fun Ride Homepage!


Welcome to the Homepage of the North Carolina Fun Ride for Wegener's! to benefit the Vasculitis Foundation, formerly the Wegener's Granulomatosis Association (WGA). This fundraiser started 6 years ago as an idea from Danette Anderson and her friends. It has grown each year and we experienced another large turnout of supporters at the September '07 fundraiser.

NC Fun Ride for Wegener's Announcement: 2008 Fun Ride for Wegener's!

The date for the 2008 NC Fun Ride for Wegener's has been announced. It will be held on October 18, 2008. Registration will begin at 11:00am and the ride will start at 1:00pm. The location will be at "The Other Place"...

2007 Fun Ride Upload Your Photos

The 2007 North Carolina Fun Ride for the Vasculitis Foundation was held on September 8, 2007. Over 60 bikes participated and numerous others enjoyed the festivities. I took some pictures and they have been placed in this photo album. I noticed that there were a lot of other people taking pictures with their cameras. If you would like to share your digital photos with this website, you are welcome to upload them. This link will enable you to upload one photo at a time. It is the easiest method. 2007 Fun Ride 2007 T-shirts are Available

We will have t-shirts available at the 2007 NC Fun Ride Fundraiser.  These t-shirts will come in two colors: texas orange (almost brown) and red.  They will come in two styles:  short sleeve and a sleeveless "shooter tee".  The artwork on the back will feature our 2007 logo  (on left) and the front will feature the graphic on the right.


All shirts are $10.00 each and will be available at the event.  If you want one (or more) before the event, let us know.  Click on Read More below to see the graphics at a higher resolution (bigger).

NC Fun Ride for Wegener's News: Danette Anderson Research Grant

The Danette Anderson Research Grant has been announced! The Vasculitis Foundation (formerly Wegener's Granulomatosis Association) announced at the Sept. 11, 2005 North Carolina Fundraiser that there has been a Research Grant named in honor of Danette Anderson.
